Your personal mattress guide
Healthy sleep is determined by several factors. The basis is the right mattress - use our mattress guide and discover your individual mattress type with the right firmness level.
- Spring mattresses: The spring mattress is the most popular type of mattress and can be found in most beds. The mattress contains metal springs that support it and distribute the body weight over the entire surface of the mattress.
- Cold foam mattresses: Cold foam mattresses are so popular due to their long life and high resilience. A cold foam mattress is also ideal for allergy sufferers.
- Gel mattresses: Gel mattresses are a further development of cold foam mattresses and consist of a gel-foam mixture. This type of mattress offers precise adaptability and a weightless lying sensation.
- Latex mattresses: The latex mattress is the perfect solution for allergy sufferers, as the natural latex material has antibacterial properties and therefore offers few points of attack for house dust mites. Latex mattresses also impress with maximum orthopaedic body contouring and thus ensure a soft and cosy lying sensation.
- Viscose mattress: Viscose mattresses "remember" your contours. The body is ideally bedded in every position and can therefore help people with back or disc problems.
- Extra tip: Make sure you air your mattress regularly to protect it from mould or unpleasant odours.
The right firmness level for your mattress
The firmness level of your mattress indicates how hard or soft your mattress is and should definitely be tailored to your personal needs.
A good guideline for determining your individual firmness level is your own body weight. Your weight determines how much pressure is exerted on the mattress.
- H2 = up to approx. 80 kg
- H3 = up to approx. 110 kg
- H4 = over 110 kg
